Alternative Computer Access and Software

Alternative computer access helps people with a disability to use a computer effectively. Alternative computer access may be hardware, such as ergonomic keyboards, compact keyboards, enlarged keyboards, alternative mouse pointing devices, touch screens, joysticks, and single or dual switches. ACA may also be software such as screen magnification programs, on-screen keyboards, and word prediction.

Potential clients, family members, professionals in related fields, and other education, healthcare and human service agencies can interact with assistive technology and ask the UCP SDATC staff questions.
